Interview

An interview is conducted to learn and know a personal experience in traffic congestion. It will be more effective to resolve the problem by asking someone who had experienced it. The interview had been done to a woman which is a chemist and go to a company everyday to work. She had a family and lived in an apartment at Jurong.

A: Hello! I am a student and now we want to know about your feeling of the traffic jams。Are you free now? It will not bother you too much time

B： I'd feel very frustrated and worried

A：Thank you！what is your job?

B:chemist

A:which transport do you choose when you go to company?

B:The MRT and public bus services.

A:May i ask a private question.Do you have your own car?

B:No

A:What do you think mostly caused the traffic congestion?

B:everyone wanting to get to work on time.

A:What time do you usually trap in a traffic jam?

B:around 6-8 am and pm every day.

A: So in your mind, what do you think the best solution to avoid the traffic jams happen?

B：manage time better and leave home early.

As the interview had been done, can be concluded that as a worker, she also involved in traffic congestion and feel disturbed by it. Based on her opinion about suggesting people to manage the time by go earlier to work and go home in time to avoid traffic jams is a great idea for those in the similar situations with her. According to this interview, a solution has been found and it can be developed more deeper to receive a new better ideas of design.
